What should I choose Vixen Fitness?

What should I wear to Pole Dance classes?
Wear form fitting fitness attire that won’t get in the way of your sexy. We recommend wearing fitted shorts (as short as you like) coupled with a tank top, sports bra or fitted t-shirt. Baggy t-shirts and pants are highly discouraged.

Should I wear heels?
Heels are always welcome and encouraged, but not required. We recommend an exotic dance shoe with an ankle strap for starters. You may also bring your favorite pair of heels from home or visit our Vixen Boutique  to purchase recommended shoes.

Should I bring anything else?
Pole Dancing is certainly a workout so be sure to always have water with you! You can bring your own bottled water or purchase for $1.00 in the studio. We also have sassy pink Vixen Fitness logo water bottles available for purchase in-studio for $12. We do provide yoga mats in the studio for warm-ups and stretching, however you are always welcome to bring your own.

When can I start classes?
There are a few different options. With our Pole Vixen Program which is where new clients typically began, you must at the start at the beginning of a series. You will meet once per week for (4) 75-minute classes each level. Our Pole Dance & Fitness Classes always have open enrollment, just find a date on the schedule that works for you and sign-up. Make sure you read the prerequisites and descriptions for all classes prior to enrolling.

How many times per week can I come or do you recommend?
You may attend class as often as you like, but we would like to caution you in doing so. Just as with any other fitness regime, overuse can result in injury, we encourage you not to overdo it. We recommend a Pole Vixen Series and 1-2 pole dance or fitness classes per week to perfect your technique and see some results. We recommend our Vixen Packages if you want to try a little bit of everything.

Will I Iearn something new every time?
Our Pole Vixen Program is based on a progressive curriculum, therefore you will see the same techniques if you repeat a series. But remember practice makes perfect! However our Pole Dance Classes…you never know what your gonna get! Our instructors are trained to choreograph a new sequence for every pole dance class and challenge returning students where necessary.  Pole Dance Classes are taught in a routine format featuring some moves and more complex variations taugh in our Pole Vixen Program.

Do I have to take the required amount of classes before progressing to the next level?
If your new to pole dance Yes ma’am! And besides…what’s the rush?! We have prerequisites in place to ensure a safe and fun experience during each class for all clients. However, if you have experience, a returning client or coming from another studio, please contact us to discuss your experience and see where you need to be placed.

Is there a weight limit for Pole Dance classes?
No ma’am. Our poles are professionally installed as those used in exotic dance clubs. We welcome all shapes and sizes. Don’t worry…your curves won’t offend the pole!

I have pole dancing experience and/or I’ve learned pole dancing at another studio. What are my options?
We’re usually pretty strict with our prerequisites and polices, but we sometimes make exceptions. If you would like to discuss your unique situation with us, please send an email to info@vixenfitness.com.

Can I “watch” a class prior to participating?
No ma’am. To ensure the comfort of every Vixen, we do not allow any spectators or guest in classes. If you don’t want to pay for an entire package or enroll in a series we recommend you pay for and take 1 beginner pole dance class, with no commitment.

I am not sure that the classes are right for me…I am totally out of shape, not flexible, oddly uncoordinated and have no rhythm!
Ladies, we’ve heard it all and we’re still confident that our classes are especially for you! Vixen Fitness classes are designed for everyday women looking to get back in shape, boost their confidence and/or spice up their old boring workout!

I am shy or don’t want to be in a class with others… do you offer private one-on-one lessons?

We do offer private one-on-one lessons, but these are typically requested by experienced students interested in nailing a specific trick or preparing for a special evening *wink wink*. Our class sizes are very small and we are confident that you will be comfy.  But if you insist on a private lesson, please contact us for private lesson pricing by sending an email to info@vixenfitness.com.

How many students are in a class? Will I have to share a pole with someone else?

There is a maximum of 6-8 ladies in a pole dance class or series (depending on the location). There is No Pole Sharing to ensure you get the maximum benefits of your pole classes. Our fitness class capacity is 10-15. Our workshops and dance series typically 12.

I have a friend (or group of friends) interested in attending with me will I or they receive a discount?
We do not offer bring a friend discounts, however we do a have a referral program. Ask for details.

What is the age requirement for pole dance classes?
You must be at least 18 years of age or older to participate.

Are men allowed in the pole dance classes?
Absolutely NOT! Vixen Fitness is for women only.

Is pre-registration required for pole dance classes?
Pre-registration is REQUIRED in advance for all services. Space is very limited and the demand is high.

I am an exotic dancer already will your classes help me?
Our classes are designed for everyday women with no experience for fitness and fun purposes only. You are more than welcome to attend our classes we are confident you will learn something however if you have something in particular you would like to learn and do not like the idea of following a lesson plan then we recommend you consider a private lesson.
